My Thoughts

So I have been a member of JS for several years. Now they are no more. I am trying out wordpress to see if I  like it here. It is a little disconcerting to  have to start all over again with some thing new. Something that I don’t know much about.

It is so easy it seems to get lost in the huge world of blogging. So many blogs, so many people. Where too start too form new relationships with others. It seemed so easy before.

I suppose it would not hurt to say who I am. I have been married for almost 45 years to the same guy. Sound dull? Not really. Does being my age make me dull and uninteresting? I will let you be the judge of that question.

I like reading, taking pictures, and just messing around on the computer. I have found that a lot of people my age don’t know much about computers. So many don’t even seem interested in learning.

So many of you who are younger. This is just a part of life that you take for granted. For people my age letter writing was the way we often communicated. I enjoyed writing letters and think that is why I enjoy writing in a journal.

Today is warmer and the snow has melted.  We have a tree down in the backyard that needs to be cut up. I would like to go get a chain saw that I can use. One with some saftey features. Lighter in weight so that I can handled it OK.

Now all I have to do is get my energy back up from cleaning and other things to do the tree cutting. Because it is a cedar tree it is not much good for burning. So we will need to haul it off to the recyling center.

We have more roses blooming in the basement. I also took our Christmas flowers down too the basement. We have lights to help them grow and they seem to be doing well.  It is often to dry upstairs and not enough light.

So tht is my day.

Fish pond

This is our large fish pond. Some of our fish are almost two feet long. These are Koia a fish that comes from Japan.  Right now they are at the bottom of the pond because of the cold weather. We do not bring them in during the winter. They slow down and we do not feed them very much. We have a heater that keeps ice from completely covering the surface of the pond.

Falling in Love

Falling in Love is the name of this rose. It is a rose that my husband and I bought this fall. It was a little late too put in the ground. So it is in the basement and doing very well as you can see from this bloom.
